FARM shop olive oil workshop in Hackney

Andrea Tomassetti of the olive oil producer Frantoio Montedoro located in Le Marche in eastern Italy was in London last week to hold a series of workshops and tastings of artisan produced extra virgin olive oils. Dermott Sales from Slow food Norwich and Laura Billings from Slow food London and the FARM organised this event and Andrea was pleased to come and give a talk as he is a great supporter of sustainable and local food.

The workshop at the FARM in Dalston proved to be very popular and everyone present learnt a great deal about the cultivation and production of fine olive oils.
Later that evening Andrea held a tutored tasting of his olive oils plus oils from Umbria and the Island of Gozo in the Mediteranean, the evening finished with food from the FARM cafe and a selection of Italian wines.
